
Membership Eligibility Criteria for
Global Alliance on Sustainability & AI, Inc. (GASAI)
Types of Membership:
- Individual Members: Open to professionals, researchers, and practitioners who are engaged in the development and implementation of AI systems that promote human rights, sustainability, and safety.
- Organizational Members: Open to businesses, non-profits, academic institutions, and governmental entities dedicated to advancing AI for good, protecting jobs, fostering peace, and promoting global economic cooperation.
Qualifications:
- For Individual Members:
- Must demonstrate a professional interest, expertise, or active involvement in the ethical development and application of AI technologies that respect human rights and support environmental sustainability.
- Must be committed to the mission of GASAI, particularly in promoting safety for both the environment and human welfare.
- For Organizational Members:
- Organizations must be engaged in projects or initiatives that align with the mission of GASAI, focusing on responsible AI practices that protect jobs, foster peace, and enhance global cooperation.
- Must actively promote sustainable practices in their operations and advocate for AI systems that contribute positively to society.
Application Process:
- Interested individuals or organizations must complete a membership application form detailing their alignment with GASAI's mission.
- Applications will be reviewed by the membership committee, with consideration given to the applicant’s commitment to the ethical use of AI and sustainability initiatives.
Dues and Fees:
-All members are required to pay annual dues, the specific amount of which will be set by the Board of Directors.
- With the exception of complimentary categories (including government agencies, NGOs, academic institutions, individual media professionals, seniors aged 65 and over, and students), full payment of dues is necessary prior to the granting of membership.
Rights and Responsibilities:- Members are expected to actively participate in GASAI activities, including meetings, workshops, and events that promote the responsible use of AI and sustainable practices.- Members shall adhere to the bylaws and code of conduct established by GASAI, promoting a collaborative and respectful environment.- Members have the right to vote on organizational matters and hold office within the organization, subject to the bylaws.
Duration of Membership:- Membership is granted on an annual basis and must be renewed each year by paying the required dues.Termination of Membership:- Membership may be terminated for non-payment of dues, failure to adhere to the organization’s bylaws, or actions contrary to GASAI’s mission of promoting responsible AI and sustainability.These eligibility criteria reflect the core mission of GASAI and ensure that members are dedicated to advancing AI systems that benefit humanity and the environment.
